Description ben (reporter) 2010-04-22 02:45:49 UTC
SOFTWARE VERSION:
Maemo 5.0 - 3.2010.02-8

EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM:
When I tap on a link maintain my finger on the screen till the option-window
opens and after I move my finger (lifting the screen) to select an option (eg.
save as...open in new window...), option-window closes as fast as I can't
select option desired. Only way I'm able to select an option is just tapping on
a link maintain my finger on the screen till the option-window opens and after
crawling my finger on the desired option in option window without never lift it
from the screen.

REPRODUCIBILITY:
almost always

This is a regression of bug 2333.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Start MicroB browser
2. Load URL: www.google.com
3. Tap & hold on a link, eg. "Advanced Search", until the context sensitive
menu (CSM) appears
4. Lift stylus/finger from the screen

EXPECTED OUTCOME:

5. CSM remains open, waiting for user to click on a menu item or click outside
the menu to dismiss it

ACTUAL OUTCOME:

5. CSM disappears automatically

REPRODUCIBILITY:
Always

OTHER COMMENTS:

All other stock applications (Modest, Conversations, Bookmarks, RSS etc.)
require the user to manually dismiss the CSM once it is opened - the CSM in
these other applications does not disappear when the stylus/finger is lifted
from the screen.

It is only MicroB that immediately dismisses the CSM as the stylus/finger is
lifted. This makes selecting CSM entries in MicroB a frustrating experience.

Not fixed in PR1.2.
