my (I hope temporary) solution is to uninstall nokiamessaging package, but it removed also package mp-fremantle-002-pr. Problem disappeared, but I don't know if these packages are needed for something.
What is the output if you strace it? See http://wiki.maemo.org/Documentation/devtools/maemo5 and http://wiki.maemo.org/Documentation/devtools/maemo5/strace for more information. Also I would have expected some "init: nokiamessaging main process ended, respawning" output in the syslog, on the other hand I don't have much clue in this area I must admit.
There was problem with access to database file /home/user/.intellisyncd/isync_mailstore.db or its journal /home/user/.intellisyncd/isync_mailstore.db-journal; I removed these isync files and problem disappeared, now I cannot replicate that problem (or are strace logs saved somewhere by default?) Now even Nokia Messaging send/receive works which stopped working 2 weeks ago. Long before update to 3.2010.02-8. I have submitted problem with Nokia Messaging under https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8311.
This is not reproducible in recent builds and hence very likely fixed already.
The problem reported here should be fixed in the update that was released today for public: The Maemo5 update version 20.2010.36-2 (also called "PR1.3" sometimes). Please leave a comment if the problem is not fixed for you in this update version.
