Description Vincent Lefevre (reporter) 2010-02-18 01:33:42 UTC
SOFTWARE VERSION:
3.2010.02-8.002 / Mauku 2.0 beta 4

EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM:
1. Start Mauku.
2. Select Overview.
3. Select Update from the menu.

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
One should get the feeds.

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
I get an error "Could not authenticate you". I have accounts configured for
both Twitter and Identica, so I don't really know to which account it applies.
But Mauku shows only Identica posts.

REPRODUCIBILITY:
always

OTHER COMMENTS:
No problems with bti (either Twitter or Identica), so that this is not a
problem with my Twitter/Identica accounts.
It seems that this problem appeared after I upgraded to 3.2010.02-8.002.
Comment 1 Vincent Lefevre (reporter) 2010-02-18 01:36:00 UTC
I still get new Identica posts, so that the error comes from the authentication
on Twitter.
Comment 2 Vincent Lefevre (reporter) 2010-02-18 01:46:29 UTC
More on the problem:
1. Select Publishers from the menu of the main view.
2. Select "Twitter (Twitter API)" (which is still ticked).
3. Select Edit. -> My login is no longer shown!
4. Select Edit. -> Mauku goes to the Overview view!!!

Note: for (3) with the Identica account, everything is fine.
Comment 3 Henrik Hedberg (Innologies) 2010-02-19 16:34:24 UTC
No problems here.

It seems that your credentials are not correct. It might be that the upgrade
messed your data.

Please, clear the settings:

You can delete the backend database by entering the following command in X
Terminal:

rm -R /home/user/.microfeed

In that way, you can start using new versions with new credientals.
Comment 4 Vincent Lefevre (reporter) 2010-02-19 19:03:23 UTC
Removing /home/user/.microfeed solved the problem. Then the problem reappeared
(still with Twitter only). Removing /home/user/.microfeed again solved the
problem again. The problem hasn't reappeared since.
