Description Daniel Camputaro (reporter) 2010-02-07 05:09:11 UTC
SOFTWARE VERSION: 0.8.3
(Settings > General > About product)

EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM:
(Explain in detail what you do (e.g. tap on OK) and what you see (e.g. message
Connection Failed appears))
1. Select Menu -> Play Radio
2. Select 'Music Tagged...'
3. Enter any text and press 'Done'

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
Vagalume should connect to the specified server (in my case last.fm) and begin
playing music matching the tag(s) I entered.

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
Pressing 'Done' has no effect. It appears the button is not working.

REPRODUCIBILITY: always
(always, less than 1/10, 5/10, 9/10)

EXTRA SOFTWARE INSTALLED:

I can't reproduce this bug :? Are you using an N900 ? It works fine for me
here.
Comment 2 Daniel Camputaro (reporter) 2010-02-08 03:00:24 UTC
First - thank you so much for this excellent program. I can't tell you how
glad I was when I got Vagalume working with Last.fm properly.

To answer your question - yes I am using a N900 with firmware PR1.1 (latest
version). It is easily reproducable on my device. I created a video showing
the issue as it appears. I hope this is helpful to you.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

Confirmed. That happens when the list of tags is empty. I'll fix it.

Can you try playing any other radio (e.g. "My library") and then
"Music tagged" again? Does it work then?

By the way, have you ever tagged any song? :)
Comment 4 Daniel Camputaro (reporter) 2010-02-08 04:19:02 UTC
Hello again,

Other options like "Artist similar to..." or "My Library" work fine. If I go
to "My Library" and then back to "Music Tagged..." it still does not work.
It's only the Music Tagged... option that does not work for me.

The Music Tagged option did work fine in the previous 0.8.2 version with the
non-hildonized menu (it was the primary way I listened to music).

Thanks,
-Daniel

This is a bug in hildon-widgets that was already fixed in libhildon
2.2.5-1

It'll be available in the next Maemo update.

However due to the importance of the bug in this case I think I'll
release a Vagalume update with a workaround for this problem.

Fixed here:

http://gitorious.org/vagalume/vagalume/commit/bef7d3870de913764a17345d721e35f5fe97ca0a

I'm going to release 0.8.3-1fremantle2 with this patch asap.

Thanks again for your help

Done, 0.8.3-1fremantle2 is now in extras-devel:

http://maemo.org/packages/package_instance/view/fremantle_extras-devel_free_armel/vagalume/0.8.3-1fremantle2/

Please try this package and mark the bug as VERIFIED if it solves the
problem.

If you also can give the package thumbs up (after testing it) in the
above page, I'd be grateful :)
