Come one, you can do better than that. Please read https://bugs.maemo.org/page.cgi?id=bug-writing.html and try again. (In short: I can't really work with a bug report like that, please be more specific. If not, I'm going to close this as INVALID. Thanks for your help.)

Nokia n900 version 2.2009.51-1.203.2. Gpodder ver 2.1-1. Download a podcast episode using Gpodder. Now delete the podcast episode through nokia file manager or directly through nokia media player. Notice that is was not deleted via Gpodder. Once deleted, the original reference to the podcast episode will still be in Gpodder. Any attempt to delete the podcast episode within Gpodder using the 'remove all old episodes' is unsuccessful as the manually deleted podcast episode doesn't show up. So there is no way to delete deleted podcast episodes. I think it will be solved by removing the podcast link and reinstalling it in Gpodder. Thank you for your time and apologies for the weak initial attempt.
Ah, ok. This makes sense. Thanks for your bug report :)
Unsubscribing from podcast episode didn't resolve the problem i.e. old podcast episodes are still present. Perhaps removing Gpodder and reinstalling Gpodder would resolve. This would be a shame. It takes some time getting the correct URL's for all the various podcast's and adding back into Gpodder.

No, uninstalling and re-installing will not help. Deleting episodes for which the corresponding file has been deleted will work in gPodder 2.2. It's not ready for end-users just yet, but I'm working on it (it's in Extras-Devel already). I consider this fixed in gPodder 2.2. Please re-open this bug report if this is still an issue with gPodder after gPodder 2.2 has entered the Maemo Extras repository.
Thank you very much for the very usefull information.
