Description Martin Atkins (reporter) 2010-02-02 15:54:58 UTC
SOFTWARE VERSION:
Any/all

EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM:
Enhancement request, not bug

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
It would be really nice to be able to search for applications when on the page
of catorise folders. Just starting to type would be a great way to start a
search, and the folders that do not include a matching application could be
hidden?
Other interfaces are also possible.

Searching over application names is the obvious functionality, searching on
description might also be nice, but possibly harder!

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
I often have to "hunt" in several folders for an application, not remembering
which category it is in (some are definitely NOT obvious, or consistent!) :-(

REPRODUCIBILITY:
Always

EXTRA SOFTWARE INSTALLED:
N/A

Both are equally hard given that "all" Catorise does is restructure
hildon-desktop's existing menu.

Searching would require a new actual application.

Ah!

OK, Well, many thanks for a great "app", anyway!

So I assume that's a WONTFIX?
Comment 4 Andrew Flegg maemo.org 2010-02-03 15:20:56 UTC
Indeed. Perhaps a Launchy/QuickLauncher/QuickSilver/... application could be
written on top of tracker; but it ain't Catorise.
