SOFTWARE VERSION:PR1.1 Maemo 5 - 2009.51-1 (Settings > General > About product) EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM: (Explain in detail what you do (e.g. tap on OK) and what you see (e.g. message Connection Failed appears)) 1. Open web from desktop shortcut - web opens displaying bookmarks and url / search box. 2. My bookmarks are arranged in folders. If more than 5 folders such that scrolling required then cannot scroll to access bottom offscreen folders. System attempts to scroll, but the bottom folders are never brought into focus so cannot be selected EXPECTED OUTCOME: Expect to be able to scroll to these folders as you can scroll elsewhere in the system. ACTUAL OUTCOME: System appears to scroll, but the offscreen folders are never displayed to allow selection REPRODUCIBILITY: (always, less than 1/10, 5/10, 9/10) Always EXTRA SOFTWARE INSTALLED: OTHER COMMENTS: I'm new to all this open source community, so hope I have provided correct / adequate details! Hi Jo, thanks for reporting this. Can you please provide steps to reproduce, click by click? That makes it way easier for everybody to reproduce. Thanks a lot in advance!
(In reply to comment #1) Exact Steps: 1. Click on Web application shortcut on desktop. This brings up Web displaying list of bookmarks. I have 6 folders here [no bookmarks]. 5 are displayed and you need to scroll to see number 6. Under the folders is the URL bar to enter url or search. 2. Trying to scroll this list [as I do every other list on the n900] results in the list of folders 'juddering'. Initially you can see folder number 6 beginning to appear. Once it is fully visible the 'juddering' starts; the folder is not longer visible - hence cannot be selected. 3. The URL bar does not move. Not sure what else I can say to improve this description!
(In reply to comment #2) > Not sure what else I can say to improve this description! Thanks, it's perfect now. :) Forwarded it, now waiting for Nokia to check it internally.
This issue could not be reproduced in the internal version 2010.05-6. A future public update will include the fix. (This is not always already the next public update.) To answer popular followup questions: * Nokia does not announce release dates of public updates in advance. * There is currently no access to these internal, non-public build versions. A Brainstorm proposal to change this exists at http://maemo.org/community/brainstorm/view/undelayed_bugfix_releases_for_nokia_open_source_packages-002/
Setting explicit PR1.2 milestone (so it's clearer in which public release the fix will be available to users). Sorry for the bugmail noise (you can filter on this message).
