Description Nikita Youshchenko (reporter) 2010-01-22 14:54:42 UTC
While #9712 is not fixed, I decided to add scripts to /etc/networking/if-up.d/
and /etc/networking/post-down.d/ to automatically start/stop vpn connection.

Currently openvpn applet periodically rescans if openvpn connection is
available, and updates icon in status area. Good.

But still there is a time window when status area information is incorrect.

If would be good if openvpn applit would catch a signal (say SIGHUP) and rescan
current connections on that. Then script that starts openvpn could signal
applet.

Even better if sending such a signal would be added to /etc/init.d/openvpn
script :)
