Internal comment:
"The main problem is that volume applet is using different scale than MAFW
(Multimedia Application Framework).
The volume applet reads predefined volume steps (in dB) from pulseaudio and the
volume keys jump between those steps. The steps are different for different
accessories. The applet's volume bar uses those steps when converting
pulseaudio volume (0-65535) to volume bar scale, by spreading the steps evenly
over the length of volume bar and linearly interpolates the values between the
steps. Resolving as WONTFIX, since this is quite complicated piece of code to
copy over to MAFW.
The other solution of making pulseaudio volume translation to dB dynamically
changing for different accessories is way too complicated to be done for
Maemo5. It would for instance affect certification etc."
