Can you please provide exact steps, click by click, as requested by the bug
template?
Comment 2 Alex Smirnoff 2010-01-13 01:39:02 UTC
Same thing here: i click Update in the app manager and the new firmware is not
there. I have all pre-defined repositories enabled.
(Russia if it does matter)
Comment 3 Venomrush 2010-01-13 06:27:17 UTC
You can use NSU rather than Application Manager to update to 44-1

Doesn't it require backup, restore and applications reinstall?

Correct.
But if you aren't seeing 44-1 over OTA then NSU is the way to update.

Completely unrelated to this report. Please don't spam bug reports but go to
talk.maemo.org instead.
Comment 8 Andy1210 (reporter) 2010-01-13 17:33:39 UTC

Comment 9 Andre Klapper maemo.org 2010-01-13 17:43:58 UTC
Yes, and you will not receive an answer here because this report is about
something else. Again: Go to http://talk.maemo.org instead.

Andy1210, Alex: If you start the X Terminal and enter the command
     dpkg -l | grep mp-fremantle
what is the exact output that you get?
Comment 11 Andy1210 (reporter) 2010-01-13 21:43:41 UTC
Andy1210-N900:~# dpkg -l mp-fremantle*

pn = Purge Not-installed, but it should be "ii" (thanks to timeless on IRC).

Hence you are missing mp-fremantle-generic-pr which is required for updating.
This package was originally part of 1.2009.42-11, hence I can only guess that
you have removed it.

Also, when going to "Settings > General > About product", what is displayed as
"Version:"?
Comment 13 Andy1210 (reporter) 2010-01-13 22:25:39 UTC
thank you for help :)

my problem is solved, i corrected all dependencyes and installed
mp-fremantle-generic-pr (this is full update)

so my version now: 1.2009.44-1 :)
Comment 14 Andre Klapper maemo.org 2010-01-13 22:30:59 UTC
So there is nothing to fix in software here -> reopening.
Comment 15 Andre Klapper maemo.org 2010-01-13 22:31:24 UTC
..and marking as INVALID as this is not a bug at all.
