Description timeless (reporter) 2010-01-05 18:04:18 UTC
SOFTWARE VERSION:
51-1

EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM:
0. enus1
1. setup MfE w/ Exchange Server (2007?)
2. open address book
3. tap the title area
4. tap import
5. tap exchange server
6. enter the email address of someone with an account in my exchange server
7. press enter
8. tap the contact
9. tap done
10. tap the title area
11. tap export
12. tap next
13. tap selected (select contacts, whatever, this item sucks)
14. enter the name of the person imported in 9.
15. tap vCard 3.0
16. tap next
17. tap next
18. open the file from the created folder (probably ~/MyDocs/Exported contacts)
19. look for "EMAIL;TYPE=OTHER"

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
TYPE=OTHER shouldn't be present, TYPE=WORK might be ok or no type.

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
EMAIL;TYPE=OTHER is present

REPRODUCIBILITY:
always

OTHER COMMENTS:
this causes painful behavior when merging (you end up w/ doubled email
addresses because the fields are technically distinct but address book doesn't
know/care)

Feel free to file this internally and set the Alias field accordingly here.

Does this still happen in 10.2010.19-1?
