maemo.org Bugzilla – Bug 7280
example source code not available in "Writing a new maemo application"
Last modified: 2010-05-17 16:50:00 UTC
You need to log in before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
In the "Writing a new maemo application" section of the developer guide, there are several code snippets, and the full sources should be available after clicking a link leading to garage.maemo.org - e.g. maemopad-window.h (https://garage.maemo.org/svn/sdktesting/trunk/maemopad/src/maemopad-window.h). But it does not work for me for some reason :-( All I get is a HTTP 403 response, although I have a garage account etc. http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=38228
The source code is available on maemo.org - as a .tar.gz. I have requested from the project maintainer that the repository be opened for anonymous read-only access on Garage. Dave.
For reference, package location is here: http://repository.maemo.org/pool/fremantle/free/m/maemopad/ Thanks to Niels and Karsten for pointing that out to me. Dave.
OK, thanks. BTW can I fix minor bugs (e.g. invalid XML samples due to incorrect comments - "<!-" instead of "<!--") right away in the wiki, or should I create bugs for all such minor issues?
Official Fremantle examples that Fremantle Developer Guide should use are in Maemo Garge examples project. MaemPad for example is here https://garage.maemo.org/svn/maemoexamples/trunk/maemopad/. All examples in Garage trunk are tested to work with Fremantle and N900. What is still missing is Developer Guide to be updated and reviewed to Fremantle (and Fremantle examples :) level. I close this as fixed as this bug is for example applications.
Just one more note that in the beginning of January I will tag all examples from Garage trunk with "maemo_5.0" tag and that tag should be used for all references for Fremantle examples (foe example from Developer Guide). After January trunk will be used for Harmattan examples.
Let's mark the bug "FIXED" when the links are updated in the wiki. Tomas: Please feel free to correct any simple typos or errors as you find them. Thanks!
Link corrected. I have not found any other links to sdktesting, but I'm sure that there are some. If anyone has the google juice to find them, please re-open & paste the search terms you used here. Thanks.
