RFE: Show calendar when selecting dates in Tasks/Calendar

SOFTWARE VERSION: Maemo 5 1.2009.42-11.002 EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM: 1. Tap Calendar to launch Calendar app 2. Tap the date at the top to bring up menu 3. Tap "Go to tasks" 4. Tap "New task" 5. Tap "Date [current date]" EXPECTED OUTCOME: A nice calendar of the month or somesuch should come up to find the date. E.g. "Next friday I have to go feed the hamster". But what date is next friday?? ACTUAL OUTCOME: Three columns: Month, day, year. REPRODUCIBILITY: 100% EXTRA SOFTWARE INSTALLED: N/A. OTHER COMMENTS: In sum, if you want to add an event and you know the day of the week, you have to go look elsewhere for what the date is. If a nice calendar came up, you could just see it there. The three column thing looks pretty cool, but it's not all that functional--you should be able to pick the date on a full calendar. Note, this also applies to the Calendar app when adding events. So in a month when /brainstorm/ actually loads I can pull this RFE out of oblivion? It seems not-so-great to punt things over to a system that isn't actually working. Also, IMHO this bug is pretty specific: display a calendar, not a wheel-of-fortune for dates--it is the standard way to select a date in most calendar programs... This doesn't have anything to do with maps or any of that. It's simple: when system asks user pick a date, it should display a calendar. Also also, this is marked "RESOLVED MOVED", but it wasn't moved. "RESOLVED ASKED TO MOVE" is more accurate, no? It never got moved, it just got closed. Thanks. :)
It looks like this bug should be closed as a duplicate of bug #5296 though. ;)
You convinced me on the last one. :)
