STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM: 1) Go to Maemo 5 downloads catalogue. EXPECTED OUTCOME: A shiny, user-facing experience is had where they are impressed with the amount of high-quality software available. ACTUAL OUTCOME: User sees a large number of placeholder images, making maemo.org and software for Maemo look half-finished. REPRODUCIBILITY: always OTHER COMMENTS: I wouldn't say the applications shouldn't be visible at all, but just not on the front page. Similarly, the promotion email from Extras-testing should include a direct link to the new entry editing page and a reminder that the maintainer should go and attach a screenshot ASAP. Finding a meta-way of distributing a single screenshot would also be good, to avoid everyone fighting with #4383. This would also mean the race condition was removed. Perhaps a control-file field: `XB-Maemo-Screenshot: http://.......' ? User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.1) Gecko/20090715 Firefox/3.5.1
Created an attachment (id=1524) [details] Current view of Maemo 5 downloads
Also texts should be trimmed.
This should be handled together with #5788
I thought this had been fixed, but that's not reflected here. Currently http://maemo.org/downloads/Maemo5/ looks shit with appdownloader and AutoDisconnect both being prominently displayed with no screenshot.
