maemo.org Bugzilla – Bug 5805
Album art disappears when next song is played and you unlock the device
Last modified: 2010-03-15 20:54:46 UTC
You need to
before you can comment on or make changes to this bug.
(Control Panel > General > About product)
STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM:
1) Open up media player
2) Play an album with album artwork available so it is displayed in playback
mode (songs should come from the same album so album artwork is the same)
3) As the first song is playing, lock the device (I use the h/w slider)
4) Wait for the next song in the playlist to start playing
5) Unlock the device
Album art should still be visible.
Instead of album artwork the placeholder image is displayed, as if the song had
no album artwork associated to it.
As far as I've tested it - always.
EXTRA SOFTWARE INSTALLED:
None that would interfere.
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; pl-PL; rv:220.127.116.11)
Gecko/2009090216 Ubuntu/9.04 (jaunty) Firefox/3.0.14
Is this about random mp3 files? Or really about songs that are all part of ONE
album (Note to myself: int-144154)?
Exact steps highly welcome. :)
Songs that are part of one album.
I have a related issue. When you play a song and then the screen goes off
(even without locking the device) if a new song starts playing when you switch
the screen on it still shows the information for the previous song for a short
time. Might be the same problem causing these two issues. Not sure.
Confirming the accuracy of this bug description. But it is not just when
playing songs from the same album, it happens between songs from different
albums as well. First it shows the old song for about 0,5 s and then updates
the screen but without album artwork.
This has been fixed in the internal build version
(Note: 2009 is the year, and the number after is the week.)
A future public update released with the year/week later than this internal
build version will include the fix. (This is not always already the next public

A Brainstorm proposal to change this exists at

Setting explicit PR1.2 milestone (so it's clearer in which public release the
fix will be available to users).
