Description Marius Gedminas (reporter) 2009-10-17 21:43:28 UTC
SOFTWARE VERSION:
(Control Panel > General > About product)
1.2009.41-10

STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM:
Click on the name of my work IMAP account

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
I see a list of folders on the IMAP server

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
I only see Inbox, Drafts, Outbox, Sent and Trash.

REPRODUCIBILITY:
always

EXTRA SOFTWARE INSTALLED:

OTHER COMMENTS:
Accessing other IMAP folders works just fine on my *home* account, it's only
the work account that is problematic.

Both IMAP servers (the one where folder browsing works and the one where it
doesn't) are running dovecot on Ubuntu, although, perhaps, different versions.
Other IMAP clients (e.g Sylpheed) see the IMAP folder list correctly.
Comment 1 Marius Gedminas (reporter) 2009-10-17 21:53:43 UTC
I discovered (by accident, just because Bug 3484 seemed interesting) that
Modest only shows subscribed folders. Once I found an IMAP client that
supports toggling the subscribed state (Sylpheed either doesn't, or I couldn't
find it), I can see the list of folders I'm interested in.

This is very undiscoverable, and https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3484#c7
seems to imply it's not going to get fixed. :(

There were no plans to support this in Fremantle -> enhancement
Comment 3 Andre Klapper maemo.org 2011-06-29 21:21:44 UTC
This will very likely be fixed in Harmattan (the software version after Maemo5
for the N9 and the N950). For Fremantle it is a WONTFIX.
