Description Lennart Poettering (reporter) 2009-10-12 23:09:26 UTC
N900 Maemo 5, 1.2009.41-10

On most IM tools there's a syntax for IRC-style /me. The N900 IM tool does not
have that. WHich is a bit surprising if you are used to that syntax.

It works for me with Skype, both p2p and group chats. There is a formatting
problem with the action messages, but that's known and should be fixed in an
update.
What is the IM protocol that our implementation is giving you grief with?
We don't meaningfully support /me in SIP messages, I think. Nor we do with SMS,
but we probably shouldn't even try to.

I tried it with Jabber/GoogleTalk.

gah

When we are at it, mind this comment on a related bug:

I'd propose making it easier to type the commands correctly: when you type a
leading /, the next letter should use lowercase by default unless explicitly
shifted, even if you have automatic capitalization turned on otherwise.
