Description coba (reporter) 2006-06-11 02:45:23 UTC
even when we have installed chinese ttf font, browser can not
display chinese character in web pages. (most other 770
internal utility can display chinese correctly)

rem: web page with chinese characters uses GB2312 coding.
Comment 1 coba (reporter) 2006-06-13 00:05:52 UTC
additional message for reference:

1. Chinese characters in Google's Chinese entry page
http://www.google.com/intl/zh-CN/ can not be displayed (which
is encoded in UTF-8);

2. 770's internal RSS Reader can rend Chinese web page well
after i have installed Chinese ttf font in ~/.fonts directory.
(example Chinese ttf font : http://firefly.idv.tw/apt/firefly-
font/fireflysung-1.3.0.tar.gz )

Closing won't fix bug
Comment 5 Ryan Abel maemo.org 2008-07-24 14:28:21 UTC
Even though this one was filed against Opera, it's been fixed in Diablo with
MicroB, so marking FIXED.
