David, would you volunteer to make new screenshots using the SDK? That would
make you the first community member to submit a bug fix to hildon in
Fremantle..

Moving to the widgets, where this belongs.

Claudio: I'd be happy to, but I have had some trouble getting the latest Maemo
beta working in Scratchbox: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=29386

I will start a thread calling for widget screenshots on Talk, though - I'm sure
it'll have great success

Claudio: Do you know if there's a program like gtk-demo which has all of the
widgets and allows you to view them one by one with dummy labels (like in the
widget gallery)?

Not really, that's a shame. But we would take that as a contribution as well. A
starting point could be the examples/ directory in the source tree.

No way. I have no idea where these examples came from. The widget gallery in
the API docs should still be updated.

Just compiled and tested the examples that Claudio point out, everything seems
very different from the page mentioned above.
I can do the screenshots, where should I send them ? should do screenshots of
all widgets and buttons in the examples folder ?

hildon examples screenshots

Hi,

I took screenshots of all the examples in the hildon git, exception to the
following, that don't show anything interesting:

*hildon-finger-example
*hildon-insensitive-example
*hildon-logical-color-example

and the 'hildon-icons-size-example' that don't ran under my SB.

Some of the screenshots aren't widgets, but can be useful for get a preview of
the available UI elements. All the images are in the original size, I don't cut
any of the elements.

Thanks Valério. I guess it needs to be done in the source tree docs directory.
These screenshots come from the gtk-doc generated documentation. This will
probably require a huge (binary) patch, so, to simplify, it should be only a
matter of updating the xml(?) file and naming the image files consistenly (if
they aren't already), then I can dump them in the proper place when I apply the
patch.

The images have mostly the same names of the example files that I ran, but some
of them have additional descriptions, like the examples that provide more than
one screenshot (e.g buttons with different heights and widths)

The widgets gallery is right there in the docs/ directory. If you need any
other reference, please tell.
