Description Andre Klapper (reporter) maemo.org 2009-05-14 18:21:09 UTC
According to Nokia that tested 3rd party packages from the Fremantle
extras-devel repository your application uses maemo-select-menu-location.

STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM:
1. Add Fremantle Extras-Devel catalogue to Application Manager:
       Web Address: http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/
       Distribution : fremantle
       Component: free nonfree
2. Try installing your application in Fremantle

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
1. "Unable to install" info banner is shown in the Application Manager.
2. apt-related logs are seen in the log file:
       /var/lib/dpkg/info/package.postinst:
       maemo-select-menu-location: not found

SOLUTION:
maemo-select-menu-location was REMOVED from Maemo 5.
Your application should NOT use it, or should check for existance before
calling it.

FREQUENCY OF OCCURRENCE: always

Tim: According to your settings you should be able to close this. Weird...
