SOFTWARE VERSION: 3.2008.20-4 STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM: 1. Go to the browser settings and change "Enabled pop-up windows:" to "Only requested" 2. Go to a site with Flash or find a Flash applet. 3. Tap-n-hold on a Flash applet to bring up the Flash contextual menu. 4. Select the "About Adobe Flash Player 9..." item. EXPECTED OUTCOME: The requested pop-up will open in a new window based on the user's settings. ACTUAL OUTCOME: The requested pop-up is blocked with the banner "Pop-up window blocked". REPRODUCIBILITY: Always OTHER COMMENTS: The About Flash option doesn't seem to be recognized as a requested pop-up window, it works with the "Enabled pop-up windows" setting set to "Always, though. User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US) AppleWebKit/523 (KHTML, like Gecko, Safari/523.10) OmniWeb/v621.0.99313
maybe adobebug, maybe MicroB bug... hmm.
this should be a flash bug, npapi exposes an api for plugins to tell browsers that a request isn't unrequested, see: http://developer.mozilla.org/index.php?title=En/Gecko_Plugin_API_Reference/Constants&highlight=NPN_PushPopupsEnabledState
(Removing deprecated "Future" Target Milestone.)
Still valid in current Fremantle.
(Split Plug-Ins into "Flash" and "Others", hence correcting QA Contact. Sorry for the noise.)
This should be fixed in 3.0.0.67 but has not been verified internally.
Fixed in internal week 42 build. Any public update released with or after this build version (x.2009.42-x) will include the fix. Please verify that the new version fixes the bug by marking this bug report as VERIFIED after the public update has been released and if you have some time.
Please note that the fix for this issue is NOT included in the final Maemo5 version 1.2009.42-11 that was released today. The fix will be included in the next update after 1.2009.42-11.
The problem reported here should be fixed in the update released today for public: The Maemo5 update version 2.2009.51-1 (also called "PR1.1" sometimes). Please leave a comment if the problem is not fixed for you in this update version.
