SOFTWARE VERSION: 3.2008.19-3 STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM: 1. Activate finger keyboard in a form field or the URL bar. 2. Enter some text (or not). 3. Press the finger-keyboard return key. 4. Rather than having the form or URL submitted, the finger keyboard is simply closed (and the URL drop-down menu is opened in the case of the URL bar) EXPECTED OUTCOME: Form or URL is submitted when finger-keyboard return key is pressed. ACTUAL OUTCOME: Finger keyboard is just closed, and form or URL is not submitted. REPRODUCIBILITY: Always OTHER COMMENTS: This is a regression from Chinook where the browser was better than most other applications with finger-keyboard behavior. Now the browser's finger-keyboard behavior is broken and the rest of the OS is much better. This and bug #2405 REALLY hamper an N800 user's ability to use the browser. User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US) AppleWebKit/523 (KHTML, like Gecko, Safari/523.10) OmniWeb/v621.0.99313
Hi Ryan, > SOFTWARE VERSION: 3.2008.19-3 is this still an issue with an up-to-date software version? There have been several fixes with regard to the virtual keyboard in the last weeks.

No, waiting for bugs to magically vanish is not part of the job! ;-) Could not find any similar internal ticket, so I've forwarded this. Thanks!
Just to clarify, the summary is not correct now. This is a _finger_ keyboard issue, not a _virtual_ keyboard issue.
Whoops, sorry. Correcting.
Reverting summary back to original, correct, version.
According to the internal ticket this issue does not happen anymore in 4.2008.25-1, hence closing. Please reopen if you can still reproduce with the mentioned software version or a later release.
Internal ticket has been reopened and confirmed.
(Removing deprecated "Future" Target Milestone.)
Any word on this one? Between bug #2405 and this, I'm rather baffled that OS2008 was allowed to ship with such major usability issues for N800 owners.
This bug can't be reproduced in Fremantle. Sorry but I can't confirm whether the fix will be released for Diablo...
