*.maemo.org goes to repository.maemo.org

For some reason I typed in news.maemo.org and I found that any non-existing sub-domain goes to repository.maemo.org. This does not seem like a good default. Surely www.gnome.org would better?
Gnome.org? :) I'll ask why this host was picked as default.
No reason why afaik and it can simply point to maemo.org, but better ask Marcell just in case.
Marcell?
This is an easyfix problem and I agree with the proposal of redirecting to maemo.org any invalid *.maemo.org Setting as MEDIUM for review in next sprint meeting.
I was not around when this was implemented, so I have no idea why all non-existing maemo.org domain name points to stage/repository. It is set on the DNS level, so I will have to request the change from the ISP. Let's hope that nothing depends on this "feature". At least in the future people will not be able to use the "repostory" trick anymore to bypass the cache network.
Now http://lalala.maemo.org is not redirected, you get a simple error page.
The error page is coming from Squid proxy. That is a bit of an uncharted territory for me, so I asked help from Ferenc.
Ferenc did some squid configuration magic and now all non-existing .maemo.org domains should end up in maemo.org.
