Description Josh Triplett (reporter) 2007-12-15 03:31:03 UTC
The folder view uses stylus-sized list items and a stylus-sized scrollbar.
Please use finger-sized widgets, as with the list of mails.

I am adding two patchs, one for the finger friendly folder view and other for
the finger friendly scrollbar.

This is a 'easyfix' feature, and if this isn't in modest yet is because modest
developers don't want it or they have other priorities (though it is done in 2
minutes), or because the famous UI specification.

svillar: Can you take a look at the patch?
Comment 7 Sergio Villar Senin 2008-09-03 13:01:46 UTC
Both patches look good and correct to me. Thing is that our UI specs do not
allow us to change such a setting. But I'll ask UI designers to evaluate such a
change.

Many thanks anyway for the patch and contributions

Sergio: So would it make sense to file a bug against the Specs for Fremantle,
or do you think this will be somehow handled for Fremantle anyway (because
Nokia's Rodrigo stated at Maemo Summit that Fremantle will become more
"thumbable")?
Comment 9 Sergio Villar Senin 2008-10-22 19:53:48 UTC
It's somehow already considered as an option for Fremantle, but not the first
one. It could be done if there is enough time.

The specs team already considered that possibility but it's not sure that it
could be done as I said.

Fremantle will fix this.
Comment 11 Andre Klapper maemo.org 2009-04-28 15:34:14 UTC
Setting Target Milestone to Fremantle SDK beta.

Marking patches of interest to Diablo (Maemo4) community updates, please excuse
the noise.
