Description alessandro pasotti (reporter) 2007-12-14 15:43:01 UTC
STEPS TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM:

Keyboard has US layout and was paired with "US keyboard" layout.

é is done by pressing the ' (near enter) then e
(or Alt-gr e) but when the backtick (near altgr) is pressed it generates
immediately a backtick and so cannot be used to accent letters
and we couldn't find an Alt-gr combo to generate è

EXPECTED OUTCOME:

è

ACTUAL OUTCOME:

vary

REPRODUCIBILITY:

always on N800 OS2007 and OS2008

I´d also like to add the following issues:
1 Generating a single quote or double quote takes 2 keypresses.
2 There appears to be no way to generate a function key (e.g. F4)

Hmm, I need such a keyboard to test...
http://www.s60.at/hardware/hwpics/btkeyboard.jpg is too small. :-(

Is ê (circonflex) available?

http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23036 might be
interesting too.

Allessandro, David:
Does the missing functionality work if you connect the SU-8W to a Bluetooth
mobile phone?
Want to find out whether it's a SU-8W hardware/firmware issue or whether it's
an issue of the software input handler methods on the N8x0.

Do you use a N800 or a N810?

Any usecase? N8x0 also doesn't have a F4...
