(some) applets should be resizeable

The news reader in the "home" view should be resizeable because many news cannot even display half of their title. One could move and resize this applet to show more information.
I agree. Ability to use smaller font would be very beneficial for the use of news applet. Also, refresh button could smaller and could be moved to the window top as well as the 0/whatever unread. There is no need to display a line saying latest posts. It might as well say latest news in the title bar, or get rid of the 'Latest' part alltogether. As if there was a way of using other sorting for the applet. I also agree that it would be nice to be able to resize the news window. Even if it would mean that it would support two sizes, small and large. Also ability to select it to only show new news items would be nice option. In Large mode it might be goot to allow it to contain small box at the bottom that would be used to precview the content of the news item in same manner as in the actual news browsed (but only show contents of one news item and no action buttons). In it's current state news applet is very nice indeed, however with small tweaks it would be so much better.
Claiming ownership.
Applets are movable in Internet Tablet 2006 Software Edition. However, the applet itself is not resizeable, thus leaving bug report open. Enhancement request will be forwarded to upstream maintainer ASAP.
This bug is not related to just the news applet. Any applet with potentially lots of content should be resizable. A new example on the 2006 beta is the contact applet. Changing summary: news applet should be resizeable --> (some) applets should be resizeable Changing component: News Reader --> Desktop I hope those changes are correct/acceptable. The additional enhancements listed by Urho Konttori should probably have their own bugs?
This is fixed in ITOS 2007
