Description David Woodhouse (reporter) 2005-11-02 15:53:06 UTC
When quoting the original mail in a reply, each line should be prefixed with '>
' and the cursor should ideally be placed below the quoted text.

The latter can be worked around, but the existing quoting is very hard to deal
with appropriately.

well, I like my mail like that too, but most people are used to the quote-above
style, which is why the program does it like that. We might consider to have an
option for your preferred behaviour in the future though. thanks for reminding
us anyway ;-)
Comment 2 David Woodhouse (reporter) 2005-11-02 16:35:46 UTC
I don't think I've ever used a program which doesn't add the '> ' or some form
of quoting to each line of replies.

In fact, looking at the first example in
http://home.in.tum.de/~jain/software/outlook-quotefix/ it seems that even
Outlook does at least add the '> '.

Is the source for this part of the email program available? I'll fix it myself
if possible.
