Description Mike C (reporter) 2007-06-30 12:00:28 UTC
The N800 browser will not open HTML files or localhost server when
offline/unconnected (e.g., when on an aeroplane or away from a WiFi hotspot);
it just keeps prompting for a connection. This means that:

-- documentation distributed as HTML files cannot be read

-- Web 2.0 applications, such as a Wiki running on the N800 device, cannot be
used. This is a show-stopper for this whole class of TCP/IP client/server
applications.

for reference, an evil and inappropriate hack has been added for the microb
engine, and will be available in the next release.

If this Bugzilla were similar to ones I control, this bug would be a duplicate
of bug 339

Good to hear you're looking at this! I have 3 months-worth of developed code
(and the hardware) sitting on the shelf until it's fixed. :-(

Let me know if there's anything I can do to provide more detail, etc.

Well, now i do sorta control browser bugs, so i'm resolving this bug.

I'm on vacation and have no idea about the release cycle.
