[See http://cs.gmu.edu/~sean/stuff/n800/ for more discussion on this]

Neither of these devices has a Unicode font available by default; finding and installing such fonts is a
highly cumbersome chore for the average person, and is not a standard item supported by Nokia; and few
of Nokia's apps support Unicode properly; even the web browser does not support Unicode everywhere in
its GUI.

For an international company, this is pretty awful.

Still valid on Chinook, however I guess that this maybe was a decision based on
harddisk space.
At least there some projects working on this, e.g.
http://maemocjk.garage.maemo.org/index.html for CJK. :-/

We have "unicode fonts", but I assume you want them to include more glyphs, or
additional fonts containing specific additional glyph ranges (there are unicode
16-bit & unicode-32 bit charsets, no font contains all possible glyphs).

This bug doesn't contain the required information. Which exact glyph ranges
you're missing?

The company is international, but the devices are not sold in all countries.
The main glyphs are supported nowadays, plus any specific to the countries
where the devices are distributed.

A big remaining gap was Chinese but it was provided with Diablo.

Resolving as WORKSFORME. Please open specific bugs for glyphs you are missing.
