Description Enno Gröper (reporter) 2012-02-27 13:02:36 UTC
SOFTWARE VERSION:
21.2011.38-1maemo1.2

EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM:
1. Open Camera UI
2. Try to take picture
3. click image icon to open the taken picture in media viewer

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
Viewing the taken photo.

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
in german (my locale):
"Öffnen nicht möglich.
Dateiformat nicht unterstützt."

My translation for this bug report:
Could not open file.
File format not supported.

I can't find the image file. It seems like it doesn't get written to disk.

After returning to the camera-ui the taken picture is very often frozen on the
display. I have to kill camera-ui and restart it to see the current camera
picture again.

If I'm not trying to open the taken picture immediately, the camera picture
freezes only rarely. But I still can't find the taken picture in my camera
folders (mmc card and flash memory):
/media/mmc1/DCIM
/home/user/MyDocs/DCIM

REPRODUCIBILITY:
Taking pictures seems to work after installing/upgrading cssu (perhaps only
camera-ui2). But after first reboot of the phone, this happens very often.
If I remember correctly I could take photos in some rare cases.
But now it seems to happen always.

EXTRA SOFTWARE INSTALLED:

OTHER COMMENTS:
I believe this has something to do with the sd card.
In the past the storage location of pictures often changed after reboot (using
old camera ui). But this is just a guess, because reboot seems to matter.
After upgrading CSSU taking pictures seemed to work again, but after the next
reboot (empty battery) the problem came back.

Of course this isn't an ehancement request. I can't take pcitures with my
camera application.
Comment 2 Enno Gröper (reporter) 2012-04-05 14:42:27 UTC
After the current CSSU update taking photos works again.
Any suggestions what I should do _before_ I try a reboot?
