Description Quim Gil (reporter) 2011-09-01 18:12:29 UTC
SOFTWARE VERSION:
master

EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM:
1. Login to FICS
2. Start seeing seek results offered.
3. Change the time / increment / rating in the top bar

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
The list of results has always a relation with the parameters defined on the
top bar. It would be awesome if at the beginning the search would aim to get
the exact results and then they would show more over time (interpreting that
the user is not finding what she is looking for) based on a fuzzier selection.

Guest users should see Rated results since they can't play them anyway - but it
would be ok to leave this as a separate bug if it's complicated or takes more
time than we have now.

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
All results going through the backend filter show up, regardless of what ar the
parameters in the top bar.

If we want 0.4 to be submitted in Ovi then we can't have "UI demos". This means
that we either make this work or we remove it. I'm for the first option, since
removing those dropdowns would imply having to think a very different UI (since
those parameters also define the variables for new searches). But of couse
mikhas knows better the feasibility.

Feedback please.

mikhas, your opinion is wanted here. Thanks!

Filters should not be difficult to implement, as we already have a proper model
here. 0.4 stuff.

Ok, deal.
Comment 4 Quim Gil (reporter) 2011-09-13 18:47:02 UTC
De-scoped from 0.4 since we want to have the release out and this one is not so
so essential.

Proposing for 0.5 - needs to be confirmed.
