Error after retrieve

SOFTWARE VERSION: 
0.8.9

EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM: 
(Explain in detail what you do (e.g. tap on OK) and what you see (e.g. message
Connection Failed appears))
1. Start hermes
2. click on "Retrieve"

EXPECTED OUTCOME: 
Contacts retrieved

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
"Something went wrong: unsupported operand type(s) for +:'NoneType' and 'str'"

always

EXTRA SOFTWARE INSTALLED: 

OTHER COMMENTS:
This is the repo version, and I just started a new linkedin account, though
there are already contacts "connected". verification worked fine.
