EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM: 
(Explain in detail what you do (e.g. tap on OK) and what you see (e.g. message
Connection Failed appears))
1. open lens cover
2. press camera trigger
3. 

EXPECTED OUTCOME: 
capture foto, start recording video
ACTUAL OUTCOME: 
camera UI crashes and closed
REPRODUCIBILITY: 
(always, less than 1/10, 5/10, 9/10)
less than 1/10
EXTRA SOFTWARE INSTALLED:

I have the same problem, with the same frequency of reproducibility.

could you install sp-rich-core (see
http://wiki.maemo.org/Documentation/devtools/maemo5/sp-rich-core) and provide a
coredump?
