Description Hanno Zulla (reporter) 2007-04-11 23:26:22 UTC
After pushing the "play" button, the media player will ponder several seconds
before actually playing a video.

The pause-before-playing appears to be longer for long videos (e.g. full-length
feature films), but I'm not sure if this is a correct observation.

I can provide sample files if needed. They were converted using Andrew Flegg's
770-encode.pl.

In latest release on first time I press play it indeed takes quite
a while, but on next ones it takes 1-2 secs with the default video.
(Unlike for music) I think latter is acceptable for videos.

Does this happen on N800/N810 also with the latest release?

Is this significantly different from the time it takes to play
the default video coming with the release?

I guess the file was local and not streamed?
