EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM: 
Setting up my email accounts.

EXPECTED OUTCOME: 
An option for automatic email check only in my home GPRS to avoid
roaming.

ACTUAL OUTCOME: 
No such option available.

REPRODUCIBILITY: 
always

Is there such a patch already? I would have thought the Settingd > Phone > Data
roaming "Always ask" option would be sufficient. Or even an ability to extend
that to "Never"

In particular the gconf value
system/osso/connectivity/network_type/GPRS/gprs_roaming_disabled on my N900 is
set to "true".

You mean, that this option avoids email checks in a roaming network?
If so, you can close this bug.
