Description Alain Knaff (reporter) 2011-02-04 23:27:10 UTC
SOFTWARE VERSION:
(Settings > General > About product)
20.2010.36-2

EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM:
(Explain in detail what you do (e.g. tap on OK) and what you see (e.g. message
Connection Failed appears))
1. Create a new event on your calendar on the PC
2. Synchronize using syncevolution
3. Launch Calendar => new event is not yet shown
4. Quit Calendar
5. Launch Calendar again => new event is now shown

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
New Event should show up at step 3 (...or even after step 2, if calendar was
already open)

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
New Event only shows up at step 5

REPRODUCIBILITY:
(always, less than 1/10, 5/10, 9/10)
Always

EXTRA SOFTWARE INSTALLED:
syncevolution 1:1.0-1

OTHER COMMENTS:
The desktop calendar widget is updated immediately, as it should... but that is
only useful for events in the near future

This is not a syncevolution problem (see
https://bugs.meego.com/show_bug.cgi?id=10267 where they sent me here)
Comment 1 Alain Knaff (reporter) 2011-02-04 23:30:02 UTC
One thing I forgot to mention: the fact that the calendar needs to be started
*twice* makes me thing that it synchronizes its display with its backend DB on
_exit_ instead of on _start_ .
Comment 2 Andre Klapper maemo.org 2011-02-05 14:40:18 UTC
Note that the Maemo 5 User Interface and Maemo 5 platform components (e.g.
libraries) are considered stable by Nokia. Only critical issues have a chance
of being addressed by Nokia.
