SOFTWARE VERSION: 20.2010.36-2

EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM: 
(Explain in detail what you do (e.g. tap on OK) and what you see (e.g. message
Connection Failed appears))
1. Open up an application
2. Press ctrl + backspace

EXPECTED OUTCOME: The task switcher appears

ACTUAL OUTCOME: Nothing

REPRODUCIBILITY: Always
(always, less than 1/10, 5/10, 9/10)

EXTRA SOFTWARE INSTALLED: bash, coreutils-gnu, less, grep, fmms, fuelpad, vim,
alarmed

Thanks for reporting this. It already seems to have been reported (and is, I
think, fixed in gitorious) and can be tracked under #11813. A workaround,
involving running a single command as root can also be found under that issue,
until an updated package is pushed to the repository.
