SOFTWARE VERSION: 
20.2010.36-2

EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM: 
1. created a drlaunch widget with 1 row and 7 columns 
2. adjusted icon size to padding 15 and margin 10
3. restart maemo
4. background box has default padding and margin
4. but icons are centered with new padding and margin

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
background box should have setted padding and margin after maemo restart

ACTUAL OUTCOME: 
background box uses default values

REPRODUCIBILITY: 
always

Hi

I am not sure I get your problem. You mean that:

You change margin and padding and then restart the device. And margin and
padding are reset to original values?

Yes, the background boxes have the default values for margin and padding.
