When mbarcode is displayed in portrait mode, which is automatically done on
tilting the phone, the camera image gets rotated by 90 degrees. The displayed
image does not have the same orientation as the object anymore, which makes it
very hard to use.

The best thing would be to disable screen rotation.

Rather than disabling rotation (as some people do want it), we should probably
change the pipeline clipping to make it more square so that it fits in better.

I'll add it to the ToDo list.
