Description embedded (reporter) 2010-07-23 00:03:34 UTC
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
Today I have received from the system the automatic generated e-mail telling
that my package under “extras-devel” repository was unlocked for promotion.

In effect, after completed the login procedure, the “Promote package” link
appears regularly, but if I try to promote it I receive a server error
indicating that the requirements for promotion are not satisfied (rightly).

The Server error message is the following:

"Server Error"
"Package has only 8 karma and only 3 from testers, while 10 and >3 is
required."

The package at issue is :
http://maemo.org/packages/package_instance/view/fremantle_extras-testing_free_armel/network-monitor/3.0.0-fremantle5/

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
Promotion link availability notification "only" when the requirements are
really achieved.

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
Wrong generation of the automatic e-mail notification for package promotion
availability, also when the real requirements for promotion are not yet
satisfied

REPRODUCIBILITY:
 Always

I've had the same issue with the package "webradio-superfly" yesterday. I can
post the complete source with all headers of the e-mail if this is of any help.

Can you try to see if this issue is fixed now? I actually fixed this issue last
week, but unfortunately was only partially applied to the live servers.

Niels,
I confirm you that now the package has been promoted correctly.
Now I'm waiting only for the new build coming in Extras.

Thanks for your prompt reply,
