Description Ryan Abel (reporter) maemo.org 2010-05-31 19:52:42 UTC
SOFTWARE VERSION:
10.2010.19-1

EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM:

1. Remember a WiFi connection.
2. Have a data connection
3. Turn on automatic connection migration.
4. Migrate between WiFi and data a few times (say, to and from work/home--data
at work and a multi-AP singl-SSID WiFi network at home).

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
Data and WiFi connections work indefinitely.

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
Data connection eventually disappears after a few days.

REPRODUCIBILITY:
2/8 (8 days)

EXTRA SOFTWARE INSTALLED:
fMMS in Havoc mode (less then 1 MMS per week)

OTHER COMMENTS:
Put the N900 on the charger at night, wake up, disconnect, leave house, check
N900 at work, no data connection connected, try to connect, no data connection
in dialog, restart, data back.

This has been new since I flashed PR1.2 kast Friday.

Make that 3/9. :)

Was trying to stay in the brainstorm IRC meeting this morning, so I:

1. Left the house
2. Got in the car (in range of WiFi)
3. Tapped the statusbar.
4. Tapped the Network Selection applet.
5. Tapped "AT&T Internet"
6. Get a "Unable to connect" message (full bars, 2.5G--Nokia hates AT&T
customers).
7. Tap "Yes" to retry.
8. Repeat steps 5-7.
9. Lose "AT&T Internet".
10. Restart.
11. Connection returns and worka.
