EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM:

1. Install xchat - or have it installed
2. 
Nokia-N900-02-8:/opt# cd usr/share/pixmaps/  
Nokia-N900-02-8:/opt/usr/share/pixmaps# mv xchat.png xchat.png.o
Nokia-N900-02-8:/opt/usr/share/pixmaps# killall hildon-desktop
3. Start xchat
EXPECTED OUTCOME:
Application doesn't show up, or shows up with no icon

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
Application shows up with no icon, and hildon-desktop segfaults on trying to
launch the program.

REPRODUCIBILITY:
always

EXTRA SOFTWARE INSTALLED:
lots
OTHER COMMENTS:
This is a contrived case - 'joorin' hit this in reality when trying to develop
footify - http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=690747&postcount=67 .

Not reproducible, neither with 10.2010.19-1 nor a recent internal version.

Sigh. It _was_ doing this.
I must have missed some critical step - I now cannot reproduce either.

This is not just me - at least several other people hit this - but in the lack
of a reproducible test case...
