SOFTWARE VERSION:
2.2009.51-1

EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM: 
1. Goto Settings > Text input and select Use virtual keyboard
2. Launch Notes application
3. Tap on the test input area.
4. Immediately  tap on application switcher on the top left on the screen.

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
The applications that are opened should be displayed in small view.

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
The virtual key board is opened and status bar icons are displayed on top of
the virtual keyboard. After tapping the virtual keyboard hide button, the notes
application goes to the background

I am attaching a photo taken from another phone. Couldn't take the screen shot
as opening hardware key board closes the virtual keyboard.

REPRODUCIBILITY:
always.

Hi, confirming.

This has been fixed in the internal build version
2010.02 or earlier
(Note: 2009/2010 is the year, and the number after is the week.)

A future public update released with the year/week later than this internal
build version will include the fix. (This is not always already the next public
update.)

To answer popular followup questions:
 * Nokia does not announce release dates of public updates in advance.
 * There is currently no access to these internal, non-public build versions.
   A Brainstorm proposal to change this exists at

Setting explicit PR1.2 milestone (so it's clearer in which public release the
fix will be available to users).
