SOFTWARE VERSION: Maemo 5, ver. 10.2010.19-1


Maemo 5 RSS reader on N900 doesn't use proxy settings correctly.

GPRS settings provided OTA by my operator did contain proxy servers for WAP
APN, but I'm using Internet APN instead. Those proxy servers doesn't work from
Internet APN so I've opted out Use proxy servers check box in Internet
connection settings.

I've wondered why RSS reader fails updating feeds over GPRS. I used tcpdump to
figure out what's wrong. I discovered that RSS reader is using proxy servers,
thus failing because they're not being available.

I had to blank out completely proxy server settings for GPRS to make RSS reader
working.

Please fix RSS reader to honor the proxy server diaable setting.

moreinfo as per last comment - report will not be progressed otherwise...
