Conky pic of N900 activities

SOFTWARE VERSION:
(Settings > General > About product)

EXACT STEPS LEADING TO PROBLEM:
(Explain in detail what you do (e.g. tap on OK) and what you see (e.g. message
Connection Failed appears))
1. My n900 was working fine and I had several applications installed included a
few from extra-dev. But one day the phone was unpresponsive and sometimes
reboot by itself.
2. I installed monitoring apps like conky, Htop etc.. I found out the problem
is coming from as-daemon which uses from 50 to 88% CPU with almost 90% of the
virtual memory and more than 50% of Ram.
3. I reflashed the MMC and the OS.
4. Restored everything and monitored again. But the problem still remained.
5. I followed again step 5, restored everything but not installed all the
applications. I just installed the one from extra and extra-testing. The phone
worked fine.
6. When I tried to restore some appications from extra-dev (like vicar,
bootscreen, windows7 theme, RDS notify, nowplaying headset-button enabler,
hangman, catorize GUI) it worked fine. But I had New Update sign which I follow
and then the problem came back.

7. I followed the steps again untill step 3. I restored everything and without
all the applications but with only the monitoring one (conky, Htop

EXPECTED OUTCOME:
N900 should be working fine

ACTUAL OUTCOME:
Phone is unresponsive, as-daemon (with different PID at time) uses 50 TO 88% of
CPU, virtual memory increases up to 90% of total VM and Ram usesage is more
than 50%, prone reboot at time.

REPRODUCIBILITY:
(always, less than 1/10, 5/10, 9/10)

EXTRA SOFTWARE INSTALLED: For last steps (7) Conky 1.9.6-1, Htop 0.8.3-1maemo5,
rootsh 1.4, phone-control,

Hi,

Which version is this about?

New update for what?

After it reboots, can you provide the output of "more /proc/bootreason" and
"more /var/lib/dsme/stats/lifeguard_resets"?

Do you use Mail for Exchange on the N900?
If so, for which account type?

How often does this happen?

Are these ALL third party applications currently installed? You can get a
complete list of them by running "maemo-list-user-packages" in the terminal.

Hi there,

> Which version is this about?
The version is the last one the Global PR 1.3

> New update for what?

They were new update for the applications. But I haven't took a note of them.
There were quit q a lot of them.

Unfortunately I have reflashed my MMC and the OS again. So I won't be able to
provide these files.

I do use MfE. I add my google calendar linked to the N900 calendar. I deleted
it and made a new backup. Now I restore the backup which doesn't have the MfE
linked.

It was happening everytime I reboot my phone.

There were all third party applications installed on the phone as I just wanted
to observe its activities and behaviors.

Update.

After removing the MfE linked to google, the phone seemed to work better. So I
reinstalled most of the applications from Extra, Extra-testing but not yet from
Extra-dev.
But an other problem appeared. The widget doesn't come up on the desktop and
the phone is sluggish with hildon-home using most of the cpu and the ram and
VM.

When this hildon problem will be fix I will try to install the extra-dev
applications I had hoping that the problem was related to the MfE only.

Cheers for your help but I still need more help.

"moreinfo" as issue cannot be reproduced right now.

Note that this is not supported. See bug 6343.

> But an other problem appeared. The widget doesn't come up

Don't know which exact widget you refer to, but that's a different problem not
handled in this bug report...
