My Maemo projects residing at Garage:
[edit] CPU/Mem Applet
CPU/Mem Applet, aka cpumem-applet, is a strip down of popular app load-applet by Jakub Paveled. Load-applet shows your the cpu/mem load as well, but also includes large, bulky and non-working screencapture and screenshot features. It was requested by many that CPU/Mem Load feature packaged alone and Screencasting would be another one, but it never happened by Jakub. So, I made a fork of Load applet and create CPU/Mem Applet, which is tiny (10kB) implementation of the most useful feature.

[edit] Cellular Modem Control Buttons
Cellular Modem Control Buttons, aka cell-modem-ui, is a toggle button interface residing in powerkeymenu allowing you to disable the cellular modem in your N900. To save battery and to allow you using Wifi connectivity but no cellular in certain places (hospitals, planes).
Currently in its third release to Extras, version 0.5-1 introduced full translation of application UI PLUS translated descriptions for the package, so you can find information about the app in AppMgr in your own language!

[edit] Now Playing Notifications
In development - beta quality
Displays notifications similar to "new email" messages when currently playing song changes. See more information in Garage and/or Talk thread.
The reboot after installation is _not_ intended, but caused by a problem with dsmetool, so if you try nowplayingd from -devel, save your work before installation!
Now Playing Notifications @ Garage, see "brainstorm"

Development has been delayed due PR1.2 issues.
[edit] Custom Powerkeymenu

[edit] MobileDevCamp Helsinki 2010
I attended MobileDevCamp 2010 Feb 27th 2010 at Arcada, Helsinki, and had fun! Made some nice contacts and heard a lot of nice talks from folks by Forum Nokia / Sami Viitanen, Microsoft / Vesku Paananen and Ericsson Labs / http://mobiledevcamp.fi/speakers#Eriksson Vladimir Katardiev]. All those guys have an excellent taste of humour and self-irony, kudos to all!
Definitely gonna attend the event next year too, maybe I'd have time to attend the 48h coding competition as well and take one of the prize-phones home with me!
[edit] TechDays Helsinki 2010
I'll be attending TechDays Helsinki 2010 at Messukeskus, Helsinki at 9-10.3.2010, as I won a ticket to there from MobileDevCamp!
So I went TechDays and oh boy it sure was made clear it is a M$ event :/ The topics were all sounding nice, but obviously skewed to MS products alone, so the day one for me was mostly for socializing with the few guys I knew and who were there too.
Oh, the non-MS seminars about multicore processing by Intel guys was great and D3D11-infested seminar about using graphics chip for generic processing by Nixu was ok.
Day two was more interesting. It was still MS branded and all, but the mobile development track begun. It was somewhat about new Windows Phone 7 Series [2], but the keynotes by Sami Paihonen about crossplatform UX creation, and Jouni Mannonen about Crossplatform mobile development were truly worth it.
The event in general were very nicely organized, the premises were nice, the food and servings were great and the evening program was ok too. There was a lot of stands with lots of giveaways and competitions etc. Kudos to organizers!
